Start Here: Why This Platform Exists & How to Move Through It

I didn’t create Provoking Perspectives just to make content.
I created it because I kept noticing something — a lot of people have something to say… but don’t feel like there’s a place for them to say it.
Or worse — they feel like their voice doesn’t carry enough weight to matter.
And I’ve felt that too.
This platform is my response to that.
What This Actually Is
Provoking Perspectives isn’t just a blog. It’s not just a podcast (even though that’s coming).
It’s a space for conversations that don’t usually get the depth they deserve.
It’s about culture, identity, business, community — and the perspectives that sit in between all of that.
Some of it will challenge you. Some of it will affirm what you already feel. And some of it might just make you pause and think a little differently.
How to Move Through This Space
If you’re here, I don’t want you to feel lost or like you’re just scrolling.
Here’s how to move through Provoking Perspectives intentionally:
- Start here if you want to understand the heart behind this platform
(This page is your foundation.) - If you want to read, think deeper, and explore conversations that challenge perspective,
→ spend time in Perspectives - If you’re curious about the books, tools, and brands shaping what I’m building,
→ explore Resources - If you want to discover and support intentional brands,
→ visit Black-Owned Brands to Know - If you feel like you have something to contribute, collaborate on, or build together,
→ check out Collaborate
Why This Matters (To Me)
I don’t think we have a lack of voices.
I think we have a lack of spaces that actually listen.
And I think we’ve gotten used to surface-level conversations when there’s so much more underneath.
This platform is me choosing to go deeper. And inviting other people to do the same.
If You’re Still Here....
Then you’re not here by accident.
So don’t just read and leave.
Take your time with the content.
Come back to it.
Share it if it resonates.
And eventually — add your own voice into the conversation.
This isn’t just something I’m building.
It’s something I want people to feel like they’re a part of.
